The Most Rev. Brian R. Marsh has announced that the Rev. Mr. Allen Albert Ryan has been appointed the new pastor of St. Augustine of Canterbury Anglican Church in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. He assumes the position from the Rev. Jeffrey W. Monroe who served the parish since 2009. Fr. Monroe is Rector of St. Margaret of Scotland Church in Conway, NH and a port and maritime chaplain in the Diocese.


Rev. Mr. Ryan was clerk of St. Paul's Anglican Church in Portland where he served since his ordination in 2010. He was born in Eagle Lake, Maine and grew up in Limestone, Maine. He attended Limestone schools and graduated from Ricker College in Houlton, Maine, with a BA and later earned an MS in Business from Husson University. He completed his diaconal education at the Logos House of Theological Studies in Ellsworth. Mr. Ryan is a pilot and aviation professional and owner of Ryan Insurance Services located in Biddeford, Maine. He has assisted at St. Augustine’s as supply clergy since March of this year.


Fr. Monroe's final Mass at the parish as Vicar will be Sunday July 22nd at 10:00 AM. He served as first Vicar of the parish since its founding in 2009. The parish will hold a gathering after the service. St. Augustine's parish worships at Cathedral Pines Chapel, 156 Saco Avenue, Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Sunday worship is at 10:00 AM.
