Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

A Blessed Eastertide to you all!

The monthly newsletter comes to you with every good wish for a joyous Easter season. This newsletter will update you on the latest diocesan, national and international news.

Diocesan News

The Very Reverend Alexander Henderson "Hendy" Webb has been appointed Canon to the Ordinary. His duties will involve pastoral care of clergy and assisting parishes in transition. Currently, as one of his first tasks in this regard, he is assisting Trinity Anglican Church, Rochester, New Hampshire which is currently due to be served by interim clergy during the next year. Please join me in congratulating Hendy on this important new role within the diocese.

The Rt. Rev. Owen R. Williams will complete three years of service to Trinity Anglican Church in Rochester, New Hampshire on Trinity Sunday, June 15. We wish he and Marilyn all the best as they prepare to move to Hollywood, California.

Mr. Mark Black will, by the Grace of God, be ordered deacon on Saturday, June 14 at St. Joseph's Anglican Church in Brooklyn, New York. Please keep Mark in your prayers as he prepares for this important event in his life, as well as the life of the church.

The Rev. Luis Aguilar will be installed as rector of St. Augustine's Anglican Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey on Sunday, August 31. We congratulate Father Aguilar on his election to this position and know that he will serve his church well. Blessings to him and to his parish.

Synod 2014

Our twenty-third diocesan synod will meet September 18 and 19 at St. Elizabeth's Anglican Church in Tuxedo, New York. Many thanks to Linnea Shaver for her administrative expertise in attending to the many details necessary to ensure a successful synod. Delegates should have received details regarding accommodations and schedule. I encourage you all to reserve hotel rooms as soon as possible.

St Luke's Camp

Camp will again take place at Camp Ashmere in Hinsdale, Massachusetts. Camp runs from August 10 to Saturday, August 16. Bishop Williams will serve as camp director this year. Please save the dates and register with Bishop Williams or Allan Wylie. Thanks to all counselors and administrative support individuals who make this camp, year after year, an outstanding week of Christian camping.

National Church News

The recent meetings of the House of Bishops and Executive Council in Ponce, Puerto Rico were very successful. Bishop Juan Garcia and his diocese served as consummate hosts for this event and we send our thanks and appreciation to them all.

Please keep in mind the concurrent synods of the Anglican Church in America and the Anglican Province of America as they meet at Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, Illinois between October 15-17. This important meeting will bring together our sister jurisdiction into a closer, cooperative relationship. I ask your ongoing prayers that God's will may be done.

Traditional Anglican Communion News

As most of you know already, three ACA bishops visited Guatemala, where the headquarters of the Traditional Anglican Communion Latin American Province (TACLAP) is located. News of our visit to Bishop Rodriguez' diocese and our meeting with other clergy and people of TACLAP is reported on our website and in our official report. I encourage you to read of our important visit. The TACLAP is growing rapidly. Please do keep Bishop Rodriguez' and his people in your prayers.
